You hide behind your computer

And repost lies

With no intention of compromise

Clinging to your antiquated politics

That you pieced together

From different books

In a conflicting fairytale

Closet racism

Bedroom racism

Environmental racism

Campaign racism

Regional rednecks

Dressed up in corporate green camouflage

Mislabeling your own propaganda

Citing sources of media washed facts

Fighting fire with gasoline

And then feeding it hunger to breathe on

Waving your flag

Of freedom to be right

Freedom to be judgmental and exclusive

Each layer of lies cementing the foundation

With a mortar of assumption and defiance

Refusal for alliance

You bet your bottom dollar on your map

And now we’re digging ditches in the desert

I cannot stay

With my mouth sewn shut

Another day

And I will face the bleeding

When I pry my lips apart enough to scream

And I wonder if it’s real

The hate I feel

And people defending everything that’s wrong about us

Cuz why teach me ideals

Only to beat me down

When I stand up and fight for everything that’s right about us

I cannot stay

With my mouth sewn shut

Another day

And I will face the bleeding

When I pry my lips apart enough to scream

It wasn’t he

It wasn’t she

It wasn’t you

It wasn’t me

Tell me who’s it gonna be

Break these chains

I cannot stay

With my mouth sewn shut

Another day

And I will face the bleeding

When I pry my lips apart enough to scream

Help me scream

Find the end of the circle

Spiraling towards the eye

Find the end of the circle

Sprialing towards a lie

Find the end of the circle

Fall like weapons from the sky

Find the end of the circle

Cross my heart and hope to die
