Hey everybody! It’s that time again! It has been a busy month and I am only looking to get busier. So let’s get to it!
March brought us our first installment of ‘Brassiere Blues,’ a show with all female songwriters, which took place at The Star Bar. It was so much fun and so amazing that we have decided to make this a regular event. It has not been determined when and where (or which ladies will be involved, for that matter) the next one will take place, but be on the lookout! So much talent in one room, you truly do not wanna miss this. In the meantime, we have created a website and a youtube so please ‘like’ us and check out the new videos that we will be posting.

You will not see me for the first week and a half of April as I will be on an island. Be jealous. You should be. But I will be busy immediately when I return. Sunday, April 12, I will be hosting the open mic at Jimmy Mac’s in Marietta. That means I play the first set at 7pm, but there will be a bunch of other great artists there and I will be hanging out all night, so come say hello! Nice waitstaff and friendly faces. Monday, April 13, I will begin playing at a new venue, Ten ATL in East Atlanta (not to be confused with Ten Atlanta in Midtown.) This place is very excited about me and I about them! They have the spirit for promoting good local music and I am excited to be a part of it. I will be playing there every Monday evening beginning with the 13th during their happy hour from 5-8. This includes discounts on martinis and hookahs. Coupled with free live music, why wouldn’t you wanna check it out? No sense in getting on that freeway…

Tuesday, April 14, I will again be checking out a new venue for the Acoustic Showcase at Jump Kitchen in Woodstock. This will be a showcase with David Abrohams and Sean Northover. If you missed Sean this past Sunday, I really recommend you come out to see him before he heads out of town. He’s taking a break from Atlanta and will be back, but trust you don’t wanna miss seeing him before he goes out of town. Plus, hello? I’ll be there! My set starts at 7 and music goes until 10.

Friday, April 17, I will be playing a much anticipated gig Suburban Tap in Marietta. This place has a history of good people and good music, and I am expecting no less this month. Saturday, April 18, I will be returning to Kouzina Christos in Marietta. I can’t say enough about how delightful this staff is. Seriously, they all rock! Family owned, delicious food, what more can you ask for? Christos is the man. Loving this place being regular on my calendar. I will be singing tunes from 6:30-9:30. Friday, April 24 I will be returning to Java Monkey in Decatur with my friends Blackfoot Daisy. This was one of my favorite shows last time. Java Monkey is a unique establishment with an awesome atmosphere, and what a joy to be on the same bill with Blackfoot Daisy! They are amazing! And I will be ending the month with my regular spot at The Place in Marietta with my favorite bartender, Megs. April is also the much anticipated time that I will be heading into the studio to start on my new album, Unleashed. Spring means new birth so what a perfect time to birth some genius! I’m getting very excited about some of these new songs….
Also, coming up on May 1st I will be performing a song for Songs For Kids at Smith’s Olde Bar. I do not have my time slot yet, but I believe the event will start around 7 and it’s an amazing and worthy cause. I will keep you all updated on when I will be performing, but in the meantime feel free to check out their website and check out my donation page. Every dollar helps.
500 SONGS FOR KIDS features over 1000 musicians performing 500 songs and will take place over five consecutive weekends in Atlanta. All proceeds benefit SONGS FOR KIDS FOUNDATION, which brings musicians year-round to children’s hospitals and special needs kids camps.
