Lots of cool stuff coming up this spring! I’m really excited about the direction this band is going and to see what is on the horizon.

This Saturday I’m bringing the trio to my local watering hole for their St Paddy’s Day Party. Never has the word Shenanigans been more relevant. We’ll be playing some fun covers and a few original tunes, and they’ll be serving up Irish fare, green beer, and tasty Jello shots. Should I mention the Big Lil’ Midget Bowling and the Leprechaun Catapult? There is no way this is not gonna be a good time. As my brother always says, come for the music, stay for the shitshow. Music starts at 7 pm. Winston’s is located at 1860 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta, GA. Winston’s Website

The Chicken Raid is back y’all!!! Different location, different hours, but many of the same characters are coming together to honor the late great Mr. Frank Edwards. We will begin with an acoustic gospel jam at 1 pm on 3/23. Everyone is welcome. Bring your ax, or your harp, or your mandolin, or your tambourine, or simply your voice and your hands. Let’s all raise a voice and sing! And then stay for more awesome music throughout the day. Pluck the chicken and leave the bone… There will be BBQ and Veggie Wraps available as well as what Jason does best, coffee. Waller’s Coffee Shop is located at 240 Dekalb Industrial Way in Decatur, GA 30033. Waller’s Website Chicken Raid Website

The annual Kettle Moraine Blues Fest is back y’all!!!! So excited to get to see my Sconnie friends for a few days. Looking forward to spending time with these amazing artists and extra bonus — in honor of Women’s History Month the lineup for Saturday is all women based. This was such a fantastic event last year. They have restored the theater to its original vaudeville style. You can’t even tell anymore that it was a place we used to rewatch a broken reel of Ghost while throwing candy at each other. The sound system is seriously awesome and the people are all friendly, and obviously there is cheese in the Green Room. IYKYK but you also don’t need to know to be interested in this lineup. $28 for one night, $42 for both. Show starts at 7:30 but I recommend getting there at 6:30 when doors open to grab the best seat. The Bend is conveniently located in downtown West Bend on Main St. Parking is limited on the street, but there are lots behind the venue. Back in the ATL for April. 4/4 the trio will be back at Fat Matt’s, your favorite home for BBQ and live music. You truly never know who will walk into this place. You might even share a table with them, cuz inside it is family style dining. Count on friendly service and friendly clientele. You might also want to count on a line as there usually is one, but that just gives you a minute to peep out the meat behind the counter and all the famous local musicians on the walls. We’ll be playing old school blues and soulful originals from 7-10. Fat Matt’s is located at 1811 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. Fat Matt’s Website

Saturday, April 5th, the trio will be headed back down to Fayetteville to play some tunes at Olde Courthouse Tavern. This is one of my favorite places to play because there is an absolute guarantee there will be dancing. GUARANTEED. People on the southside love their blues. Once again, friendly people, late night food, wonderful staff, intimate crowd, and more old school blues and fun originals. Plus they have recently done some renovating so I’m looking forward to seeing what changes have unfolded. Thanks always to Marvelous Marvin Presents for keeping this thing going. The Tavern is located at 105 Glynn St S, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Music starts at 8:30. Olde Courthouse Tavern Website

And my favorite spot in Marietta closes out April. The trio will be playing originals (hopefully a couple new surprises!) at The Third Door right off the square. The Third Door has been very committed to local music since their inception and are just as committed to craft cocktails. I think we can agree on both of these things right?

Hopefully we will be a little warmed up by then and can enjoy a night on the quaint patio. They do not serve food, but there are SEVERAL delicious restaurants in walking distance. So come early, grab a bite on the square, and then head over for songs and stories. Music is from 9-11:30. The Third Door is located at 131 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060. The Third Door Website

I believe I will be starting some sort of kickstarter type deal so we can get back in the studio and get some of these songs out, but I haven’t set it up yet. Feel free to donate in advance or buy any of my merchandise off my website. Once I get the studio scheduled I’ll be sending out invites that include benefits wink wink. Until then, get out there and tip and clap and sing along or even send one of us a compliment. We’re easy. Love y’all unconditionally.
