Hey everybody! Lots of stuff going on as usual, and I don’t want you to miss out, so here’s the updates…
Tomorrow, Saturday, 9/15, I’ll be playing at Grand Champion BBQ on Canton Street in Roswell. This is an all originals gig so you get the full opportunity to listen to my music. I’ll be playing all of the tunes off of my latest release, Unleashed, as well as a couple oldies and some songs off the upcoming project. It is possible you’ll hear a couple covers from my favorite local artists as well. This is some melt in your mouth BBQ so I recommend coming on an empty stomach. Right in the heart of downtown Roswell, it’s great for people watching too. Grand Champion is located at 982 Canton Street in Roswell, GA. Music is from 6:30-9:30. Grand Champion website
Every Wednesday afternoon I’m holding down the fort at Darwin’s in Sandy Springs from 1-4. Joined by Hayley Gray and often other local music celebrities (at least in my mind), Bytchcraft (aka Wild Women Wednesdays) is a good opportunity to connect and experiment. We play originals as well as quirky sitcom theme songs. You never know what you’re gonna hear or whom you’re gonna see. But if you can sneak away at lunch for free live music, why wouldn’t you? Darwin’s has free music during the daytime every Wednesday through Saturday. And if you follow Bytchcraft on Facebook or Instagram you might become weirdly obsessed with squirrels. It’s a thing. Next Friday, 9/21, I’ll be making my debut at Al Bum’s record shoppe in Acworth along with my friend Tennessee John and some other local blues artists. Like all Concert Patio events, this one is absolutely and totally free. However, leaving a tip or buying musicians’ merchandise is encouraged. Bring your own lawn chair. Adult beverages can be purchased from Fusco’s Via Roma, Fusco’s Pizza, and Center Street Tavern and enjoyed during the show. The sound guy also enjoys a beer or two, and gladly accepts a donation of a frosty beverage (also, buy the singer tequila). Vinyl copies of my latest album Unleashed are always for sale at Al Bum’s, but I will bring a few extra that evening. Music starts at 7. Al Bum’s is located at 4805 S Main St, Acworth, Georgia 30101. On Saturday, 9/22 I’ll be joining Wasted Potential for the Beltline Lantern Parade. Parade Details
Then on Sunday, 9/23, I’ll be performing at the Courtyard at Avalon in Alpharetta. This will be a mix of originals and soulful covers. I have yet to perform in this location, but it looks like there’s a lot of stuff going on! If you are on the Northeast side of town, come hang out with me! It looks like there’s all kinds of shops and restaurants, and you can have a little entertainment in between. There will be live music there every Sunday this month from 4-7 pm, but I’ll be there 9/23. Event Details
Thursday, 9/27, Wasted Potential will be back at Moonshadow Tavern in Tucker. If you haven’t seen this brass band yet, what are you waiting for? Come discover why this band was such a hit at Bonaroo. Music from 8-11. Wasted Potential website Moonshadow is located at 3976 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084. Moonshadow Website
And last, but never least, Sunday, 9/30, Mandi and the Major Sevens will be performing their gospel show at Darwin’s in Sandy Springs. This is always a fun time, and the word is starting to get out. So come early and get a good seat. Chicken & Waffles on special for only $6. Spiritual songs range from traditional gospel to Willie Nelson to Taj Mahal to Stevie Wonder. So come lift a joyous noise with us, sing and dance and get your joy on, whatever that maybe. Music is from 4-7. Darwin’s is located at 234 Hildebrand in Sandy Springs GA. Darwin’s website
