Hey y’all! I haven’t been in touch for awhile so I wanted to check in with all of the exciting updates for this month!
As some of you may have already seen, the new video is out for ‘These Shoes,’ a song off my upcoming album Unleashed. The new album is coming out later this month, so I am trying to get some hype going surrounding this new song. ‘How can I help?’ you always ask. Well, now’s the time! Please take the time to watch the video (every view counts!), and if you are a YouTube member, please ‘like’ or comment on the video and subscribe to my YouTube page! Whether you are a member or not, please share the video on Twitter and Facebook to get me more views and likes. That’s it! With just the click of a button you can help one of your favorite artists! Thanks in advance! Here’s a link to the video:
Tonight, September 1st, I’ll be hanging out with Wasted Potential at Northside Tavern. It’s no secret this is one of my favorite hangouts. You never know who you will find or what you will run into. Music starts around 10, $10 cover.
Tomorrow evening, September 2nd, I’ll be playing solo acoustic at Grand Champion BBQ in Roswell from 6:30-9:30. Right in the heart of the Roswell strip, this is a great place to hang out, grab some grub, listen to some tunes, and people watch. Kid and dog friendly patio. I will also be playing at Grand Champion on Friday, September 15.

Labor Day I will be jamming with Mudcat, the Atlanta Horns, and other special guests at the annual WRFG Labor Day Blues BBQ. The Blues BBQ is an annual event to benefit our local progressive radio station. 89.3 WRFG plays music of all genres throughout the day and is very supportive of our local blues community. There will be several guests throughout the day with Mudcat finishing out the show. Music lasts from 1-8 so come early stay late! This year’s festival will be honoring the late Ellyn Webb, the woman responsible for keeping Northside Tavern alive all these years. She is considered a godmother to many of us so please join us in celebrating her life. There will be food and drink available for purchase from Park Tavern. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
I’ll be spending the following weekend with my friends from Wasted Potential. We’ll be playing at the Marlay on Friday, September 8, and then the Beltline Lantern Parade on September 9.
Saturday, September 16, I’ll be joining Katie Martin at Darwin’s to be the featured artist at the weekly Darwin’s jam. Katie and Darwin’s celebrated five years together last week and this jam has quickly become one of the most fun hangouts on a Saturday afternoon. The jam goes from 1-5, so bring your instruments and get ready to party! From there I’ll be heading to Little Five Points to play Little Five Arts Alive from 6-8.
Now, for the information you’ve all been patiently awaiting….
The Unleashed album release party will be held at Darwin’s in Sandy Springs on SEPTEMBER 24. I’ll have vinyl, CD’s, downloads, whiskey flasks, fans, T-shirts, and all kinds of merchandise available for sale. But the main event is you get to hear my friends and me perform the album in its entirety. I’ve got an amazing lineup with me that day, including my regular band from Doc’s as well as some special guests. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS. I’m not big on bragging on myself, but let’s just say you will not be disappointed with the new album. I’m so excited to share this with you guys. Please come out and show me some love and support. What else do you have to do on a Sunday evening? Doors open at 6. #UNLEASHED2017
Don’t worry, for those of you stuck out of town, the album will also be sold on my website as well as CD Baby, Amazon, iTunes, and likely wherever else you buy (please do purchase) your music. I can’t keep up with all you young cats and your technology, but luckily, the internet does that for me.

For those of you who can’t make the release party, I will be returning with the band to Doc’s the last weekend of the month, and yes, I will have vinyl’s and CD’s there as well. If you haven’t been to Doc’s yet, I just have to ask ‘Why Not?’ I keep trying to tell you this is a party. If you’ve been, you already know what it is, so I know you’ll be back. Music is Friday night from 10-3 and Saturday from 10-2:30.
