Ok folks, I haven’t been in touch for a minute, and there’s a lot going on. So here goes. Lots of main staples in May. First of all, I will be playing at Doc’s, basically my home base, every Thursday evening of this month. Doc’s is one of the first places that allowed me to do my thing on a regular basis, and as such I consider it family. Lots of familiar faces in the house. Not to mention, Doc’s is now situated right across from the battery, and I know the Braves will be in town for part of May. So make a night of it! Doc’s is always a good time and has great late night food. Please stop by and say hey. Playing some originals as well as some classic R&B. These Thursdays are solo acoustic but I will be back at Doc’s with the full band in June. Music is from 7-10. Doc’s is located at 2621 Cumberland Blvd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 (470) 336-4156. Doc’s Website

Saturday, 5/4, Wasted Potential will be returning to Northside Tavern. As they say, ‘this is what fun looks like.’ No seriously, if y’all haven’t checked out a Wasted Potential show yet, well… your bad. Wasted Potential Website Northside Tavern Website

Sunday, May 5, I will be participating in a fundraiser to try to keep one of our favorite venues, Darwin’s Burgers & Blues, alive. Many of you know I play there every Wednesday afternoon with Bytchcraft from 1-4 (and yes, that is still happening throughout May, as well as playing a gospel show there every second Sunday of the month (which, again, is still happening 5/12)). We love this place and have been playing there forever, and many of us got some of our first opportunities there through jams or other shows. They have done a bunch for Keeping the Blues Alive, so let’s help them stay alive. Please feel free to visit us on any Wednesday afternoon with Bytchcraft or any second Sunday for gospel with me and the Major 7s, or really any time you see a show you might want to see? Go spend some money there! But we are consolidating this into an event this coming Sunday, 5/5, including me, Truett Lollis, Barry Richman, The Cazanovas, Colin Alvarez, Tyler Neal, Thunder Gypsy, and others. $25 cover includes a plate of food. This show is gonna be killer. Darwin’s is located at 234 Hildebrand in Sandy Springs. Darwin’s Website Musicians Appreciating Darwin’s Day

By the way, Bytchcraft is having their two year anniversary at Darwin’s this coming Wednesday, 5/1. I can’t believe we have been doing this for two full years. That’s a lot of squirrels. Come see us from 1-4 Wednesday afternoon.

Friday, 5/10, I will be heading back up to the North GA mountains to play at Ott Farms in Elijay. A lovely winery with a delicious view, and friendly folks everywhere. Take the night off and treat yourself. Music starts at 5. I know I have some biker friends who should take advantage of this opportunity to take a nice evening mountain drive.. Ott Farms Website

As I stated earlier, the gospel show will be back at Darwin’s on 5/12, the second Sunday of the month. This is quickly becoming the favorite spot to be on Sundays. Bring the kids and bring your party hat. All love, all day. Music is from 4-7.

Friday, 5/17, I’ll be returning to Limerick Junction with my buddy Jon Schwenke to play some tunes. You never know what is gonna happen or who will wander off the street, but I can think of way worse places to spend a Friday evening. Super friendly staff and a fun audience. Let’s hang out. Limerick Junction Website

And finally, to finish the month, I will be playing a song for Songs For Kids at the Earl on Friday, 5/31. I haven’t been given a time yet, but I’ll keep y’all in the know. This is one of my favorite events. It’s for a great cause, and I get to see a ton of my musician friends perform in an avenue they normally wouldn’t. This year’s theme is songs I wish I had written. I can’t wait to see what that means for everyone. And support efforts to help kids with cancer at the same time. Please help out any way you can. My Songs For Kids Page The Earl Website

I can’t wait to see you all this month! I will be heading out of town the next couple months so please come see me while you can! Looking forward to a lot of great live music and a lot of great new music this month. Let’s do this! Please don’t forget to like me on FB, follow me on Instagram and Twitter, and subscribe to me on YouTube. Thanks for all the support!!! #supportlocalmusic #supportlivemusic #donttagmeinthat
