Hey y’all! It’s been a busy year so far and looking to get even busier! The last couple weeks have been really exciting for the brass band I perform with, Wasted Potential. Last Friday was our CD release party at Venkman’s. This was our first full length CD release of original tunes and it was a packed house! The new project is available on all platforms:

This past Tuesday we did an interview with Lois Reitzes on NPR’s local Atlanta affiliate, WABE. Listen to the interview here

And yesterday we played a short segment on 11 Alive’s Atlanta and Company, which you can view here: WPBB on Atlanta and Company

So we’ve been extremely busy!!! Please download the album and check our website to find where we are playing around town. Wasted Potential Website

Here’s what’s going on in March…

Tomorrow, Saturday March 2, Wasted Potential will be playing a crawfish boil at the Family Dog in the Virginia Highlands from 1-4 pm. This is our favorite season being a brass band! Come out and celebrate the season with us and eat some delicious cajun food. We will be playing a Mardi Gras ball later that evening in Roswell as well. Family Dog Website

Sunday, March 3, I will be returning to Limerick Junction on Highland Ave. Limerick is an Irish pub that features music all week, but Sundays are reserved for featuring local musicians. I’ll be playing a ton of original music. This is a really laid back vibe with excellent friendly bartenders and is right in the heart of the Virginia Highlands so there is plenty of street traffic and people watching.  Come out and have a pre-Paddy’s day pint. Limerick Junction is located at  822 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306  (404) 874-7147. Music starts at 9 pm and lasts until close. Limerick Junction Website

Tuesday March 5 is Fat Tuesday!!! As usual, Wasted Potential will be performing at Big Easy Grille in midtown. We will be performing in the evening, but there will be crawfish boiling all day! Come on out and get some beads and get your party on before Lent begins. Big Easy Website

Sunday, March 10 is the second Sunday of the month, so you know what that means! Gospel Sunday at Darwin’s with Mandi and the Major 7s. We have started doing the gospel show every second Sunday so you guys can keep track of when we will be there. This is easily one of my favorite shows with an incredible band and an always high energy performance filled with positivity. This gig is all about us lifting each others’ spirits. We play gospel standards mixed in with other spiritual songs from the likes of Willie Nelson to Stevie Wonder. Please come out and lift a joyous noise with us! This event is kid friendly. Come check out what your friends have been talking about and get some spiritual healing. Darwin’s is located at 234 Hildebrand in Sandy Springs (470) 399-5060 Darwin’s Website

Sunday, March 24, I will be returning to Ott Farms and Vineyard in Elijay. With a gorgeous view and delicious wine, what better way is there to spend a Sunday afternoon? This event is rain or shine (there is no telling these days in Atlanta) but with a beautiful patio and a view of the North Georgia mountains, we are certainly hoping for it to be outside. It’s a gorgeous drive from Atlanta up into the mountains, and there are always a bunch of friendly faces in the crowd. I’ll be playing originals and soulful covers from 1:30-5:30. Kid and dog friendly, Ott Farms is located at 230 Henry Evans Rd, Ellijay, GA 30536 (706) 273-1891 Ott Farms Website

March 29 & 30 I will be bringing the band back to Doc’s in Smyrna. For those of you who have been following me for years, you know I consider these folks my family. Doc’s is one of the first places I performed and I really do think of it as home. I am always excited to play there and see so many friendly faces. Music starts at 10 and lasts until 3 on Friday and 2:30 on Saturday. Doc’s is known for their delicious late night food, so make it your last stop on the way home. We’ll be playing some of your favorite r&b along with a few songs off my latest album Unleashed. Doc’s is always good for people watching and dancing, so get ready to be entertained! Doc’s is located at  2621 Cumberland Blvd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 (470) 336-4156 Doc’s Website

And finally, Sunday March 31 I will be taking the band to Blind Willie’s in the Virginia Highlands. Blind Willie’s is one of the oldest blues clubs in Atlanta and has all the feel of a New Orleans blues club. I’m very excited to be playing my first band gig at this venue. Looking forward to seeing some of my local blues friends in the crowd. Doors open at 5 show starts at 6:30. $6 cover. Blind Willie’s is located at 828 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306 (404) 873-2583 Blind Willie’s Website

And don’t forget, every Wednesday afternoon Bytchcraft is at Darwin’s from 1-4. I’m often joined by Hayley Gray and Skye Paige, and you never know what other musicians may stop by. This is becoming a local musician midweek midday hangout, so please come by and play a song or two if you like, and if you’re not a musician, you maybe in for a special treat!

Thank you all for your continued support. Things are getting bigger and it’s all because of you! Like me on Facebook, follow me on Instagram and Twitter, and listen to my music on Spotify, and even more importantly tell all your friends!!! Hope to see you guys out and about this month!
