Tonight, Thursday, March 16, I’ll be playing with Wasted Potential Brass Band at Westside Market from 7-9. If you haven’t seen these guys yet, you are in for a treat! New Orleans roots with an Atlanta flair, this brass band is always getting the party started and subsequently keeping it going!

Friday, March 17, I will be celebrating St Paddy’s at Blind Willie’s with Mudcat. We’ll be kicking the weekend off with some high energy blues. There may even be a few Wasted Potential members there as well. Come on out and blow me a kiss; I’ll be the one wearing green. Music starts no later than 9:30.

Early afternoon on Saturday, 3/18, the St Paddy’s Day celebration continues with Wasted Potential at Steinbeck’s from 2-4 pm. Saturday is Family Day featuring live music, face painting, bouncy house, and food and drink specials! Steinbeck’s is home base for Wasted, so we’re looking to see a lot of familiar faces. Hopefully one of them will be you!

Then, the event you’ve all been waiting for…. My favorite time of year….. CHICKEN RAID 2017!!!
The Chicken Raid is an annual music festival held at the NORTHSIDE TAVERN to honor the late beloved Atlanta bluesman Mr. Frank Edwards. There are performers all day and night on Saturday, March 18 as well as Sunday, March 19. I will be there playing with Mudcat and Wasted Potential on Saturday night — at one point we will all be taking the stage together!!! I will also be there early Sunday afternoon to participate in the gospel jam. Music starts at 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. This event is catered by Fat Matt’s BBQ (YUM!!)!! All proceeds go to benefit our elder musician mentors and Mr. Frank’s estate.

Friday, March 24, Wasted Potential will be opening for the Charles Walker Band from my native land, Milwaukee, WI. We opened for these guys last year and they are so much fun! The party will be held at Venkman’s, which is quickly gaining notoriety for not only being a great dinner and brunch spot, but for its excellence as a music venue as well. I’ve been in touch with Charles and the crew since the last time we played, and they are always uplifting. Really looking forward to sharing the stage with them again. Show starts at 9:30.

APRIL PREVIEW:
I’ll be starting the month of April off at Grand Champion BBQ in Roswell. It will be a solo acoustic show on April 1 (this is not a joke!) including your favorite covers sprinkled with some of my originals. The food at Grand Champion is seriously delish. Songs For Kids will begin in April as well as Little Five Points Arts Alive. And there will be some very important updates regarding the upcoming album Unleashed scheduled for release this summer as well as the movie To Live Or Die In La Honda including my song Whiskey In the Parking Lot, also to be released this summer. I will be releasing a teaser single next month as well, so get ready!!! There’s a lot going on on the horizon…
