Hello fans and welcome to 2015! I have no doubt this will be an exciting year. I have a lot of gigs on the books, a few trips planned, which will hopefully transform into ‘tours,’ and a couple albums to record, so let’s get this thing started! Here’s what’s happening in January:

Tonight, January 2, I will be returning to Bugsy’s Back Alley Speakeasy in Milwaukee, WI. I played here back in August and it was amazing. Great vibe, 1920s drinks, and burlesque dancers on the bar, in case I’m not entertaining enough! I will be playing this gig with saxophonist Aaron Gardner. This guy is great, and I am super excited to be performing with him again! In the nature of a true prohibition style speakeasy, you must enter through the back alley. Bugsy’s is
located at 218 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202, but it is best to enter from the alley off Chicago Street. There is a valet available. You can also contact them at (414)221-6565 or find them on the web at www.bugsysbackalleysaloon.com. Show is from 9:30-1:30.

On Sunday, January 4, I will be back in Marietta, GA at The Place Bar & Grill. I know, we are into playoff football, but those are daytime games! You should have plenty of time to make it to my show from 7:30-11, not to mention they have TVs if the games run over. Keep in mind this is the Marietta location as I play in Woodstock as well. They have expanded their menu as well so be prepared to grab some grub! I will also be at the Marietta Place the following Sunday, January 11. The Place is located at 700 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta, GA 30066. You can contact them at (770)427-9060 or find them online at www.theplacebargrill.com. Both shows are from 7:30-11.

The Place has another location at Towne Lake in Woodstock, and you guessed it, I’ll be playing there as well! Those shows will take place on Wed, January 7 and Wed, January 21. Both of those shows will be from 8-11:30. Almost the same bat time, different bat channel. The Woodstock Place is located at 1105 Parkside Lane in Woodstock, GA 30189. You can contact them at (770)928-8901 or visit the same website www.theplacebargrill.com.

My Darling friend Bing couldn’t read
my newsletter last time cuz he
needed more pictures. So here’s one
of my sweet best friend Papi, who
was lost but now is found.

Moving on… I will be participating in the Open Mic at Eddie’s Attic on Monday, January 12. The show goes from 7:30-midnight and is filled with singer/songwriters. This show always has some really talented and interesting songwriters so I encourage you to come early and stay late. I have played this show a few times now and have made the finals three times, so it’d be awesome to have some support. If I win, I get a chance to participate in the shootout for bigger prizes and a possible gig at the Attic. My time slot is 9:10 and I perform two songs, with additional songs if I make the finals. Eddie’s Attic is located at 515 North McDonough Street in Decatur, GA 30030. You can contact them at (404)377-4976 or visit their website www.eddiesattic.com.

Here’s some fun stuff: I have added three new venues this month! First on the list is Roswell Tap. I am hoping this will be a recurring gig so it’d be awesome to get some folks out to this one. Located in the heart of the cutest town on the North end of Atlanta, Roswell Tap has a quaint atmosphere and is a great place to hear live music. The Tap is located at 1090 Alpharetta Street in Roswell, GA 30075. You can contact them at (770)992-9206 or find them online www.theroswelltap.com. Show starts at 7.

On Tuesday, January 20, I will be returning to The Renaissance Waverly at Cobb Galleria. This is a fun opportunity to meet some folks from outside Atlanta, have some fancy cocktails and commune with friends while waiting out the rush hour traffic, as I will be performing from 6-8. The Renaissance Waverly is located at 2450 Galleria Parkway SE in Atlanta, GA 30339 or contact them at (770)953-4500. Find out more about them at www.marriott.com.

These stickers are available for free at any of my shows.

On Sunday, January 25, (yeah, right, you were gonna watch the Pro Bowl), I will be debuting at Kavarna in Decatur. I haven’t had a chance to visit this spot yet, but my understanding is it’s a great place for great coffee and great music. And there’s no better place to spend a Sunday evening than Decatur! Come show me love and try out a new spot with me! Kavarna is located at 707 East Lake Drive in Decatur, GA 30030. You can contact them at (404)371-1113 or visit them online at www.kavarnadecatur.com. This show is an early evening show, 5:30-7:30.

And last, but most certainly not least, I will be performing in the Atlanta Room at Smith’s Olde Bar in Midtown on January 29. This is a very prestigious spot and I would really like to be invited back. Best way to do that, TURN IT OUT! I really need a big showing of support for this gig, and it’s a short one, so I won’t take up too much of your time. Come on in town folks, you know you want to! And OTP people this would be a good time to organize a carpool and make a night of it. I’m sure there will be more performers at Smith’s that evening and then we can hit the town! I will be playing a 45 minute set starting at 9pm, so try to show up early! Doors open at 7 and there is an $8 cover, but for any of you that show up, I’d be glad to throw in a copy of my Live at Red Light Café CD for free. Smith’s is located at 1578 Piedmont Avenue NE in Atlanta, GA 30324. You can contact them at (404)875-1522 or check out their website at www.smithsoldebar.com.
