Hey folks! This is gonna be a busy month so let’s get started!

I’m starting the month off this Friday, February 6, with a new venue! I haven’t been to this place yet but I have heard many good things about the food and I have heard they have the best gyro in town! They are just starting to incorporate live music into their restaurant so let’s show them we appreciate it by coming out and giving this place a try. Who knows?! You might find this to be a regular dining spot! Kouzina Christos is located at 1453 Terrell Mill Road in Marietta, GA 30067. Contact them at (770)952-1950 or follow them online at www.kouzinachristos.com. Music is from 7-10.

Then Saturday, February 7, I will be returning to the Renaissance Waverly at Cobb Galleria. This place has a great atmosphere and is good for meeting new people as well as a nice meeting point to start your evening off whether heading into town or out of it. It’s also a nice place to sneak out of traffic. This will be another early evening from 7-9. The Renaissance Waverly is located at 2450 Galleria Pkwy SE in Atlanta, GA 30339 or contact (770)953-4500. February 8 I’ll be hanging out in my ‘hood’ at The Place Bar & Grill Marietta. Football is over now y’all, so no excuses!!! I expect to see all my local folks hanging out with me and my darling Megs this Sunday! DO IT! Good bar food, and while they like to party and get rowdy on Fridays and Saturdays this place is a pretty chill place to hang out with some live music on Sundays. Music will be from 7:30-11. The Place is located at 700 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta, GA 30066 (770)427-9060. You can look them up online at www.theplacebargrill.com.

Tuesday, February 10 I need your support! This is the finals for the Top of the Tap. You may or may not have heard that last month I made the finals for this singer/songwriter contest. But that is only the first step. Now there are six of us left to compete for the top prize, which includes money and studio time (both of which I desperately need!) The contest starts at 9 and each performer gets 20-25 minutes to play original material. They then get voted on by the artists and (yes you!) the crowd. Unlike some elections, it holds true for this contest that every vote counts so help a sista out! Besides, you know you hang out there anyway. Suburban Tap is located at 1318 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta, GA 30068. Contact them at (770)977-4467 or check out their website at www.suburbantap.com.

Unfortunately my performances at Roswell Tap this month have been cancelled due to staffing changes. But keep an eye out for future events! That weekend I will be taking time off from performing to audition for The Voice. So indeed, you all get your wish. However, I am not making any promises as I may back out the second I have to sign a legally binding contract. But it’s for the experience, right? Wish me luck…

Little-Vinyl-LoungeFebruary 18 I will be returning to Little Vinyl Lounge in Little Five Points, located downstairs from the Star Bar. I played this venue in December and it was awesome! With a very intimate setting and innovative drinks, Kahle Davis has renovated this room to become what I would indeed refer to as a ‘lounge’ that is perfect for enjoying acoustic music. This will be an all-original two hour performance, and if you know me then you know I always look forward to these original shows. I’ve written a few new tunes since last time, so you should definitely come check it out! I will be performing from 8-10. There is parking right outside the lounge and afterwards you can enjoy their amazing juke box or head upstairs for some honky tonk live band karaoke! Little Vinyl Lounge is located at 437 Moreland Ave NE in Atlanta, GA 30307. You can contact them at (404)637-5209 or online at www.facebook.com/littlevinylloungel5p.

Monday, February 23 I will be attending my favorite songwriter open mic with the lovely Ian Schumacher, the Acoustic Showdown at Tin Roof Cantina. This show is always filled with amazing songwriters and performers. You never know who you will meet, and there are often industry folk in various aspects of the industry that are great to network with. I swear, I learn something everytime I go to this showdown, and that usually includes meeting a new local performer that now has me for a fan. Again, there will be an opportunity to vote so the more of you who come out… the more votes I get… you get the idea. Plus it’s just an overall good time. My 15 minute set is at 10:45 but the show starts at 9:30. Tin Roof is located at 2591 Briarcliff Rd NE in Atlanta, GA 30329 (404) 329-4700. Check out their website at www.tinroofcantina.com.

And to finish the month off… As you know, one of my favorite local businesses to support is breweries. On Saturday, February 28 I will be returning to Red Hare Brewery in Marietta. Not only are their beers delicious, they are dog friendly, and I will be busting out tunes from 2-4 in the afternoon. That means, come get your weekend on and recover from your hangover by getting set for another one, toss back a few brews and get ready for the rest of your night! Love this place. Red Hare is located at 1998 Delk Industrial Boulevard SE, Marietta, GA 30067 (678)401-0600 or go to their website www.redharebrewing.com.
