Hello Everyone! I’m sorry to not have been in touch recently. Some of you may have heard I had some health issues, but the good news is a whole lot of things have been resolved and I am feeling much MUCH better!!!! So now, it’s time to write, record, and play some music. I hope y’all are ready to hear some.

This weekend I will be in Chicago doing some recon and also conveniently my football team will be in town. My birthday was mostly spent in the hospital this year so I’m living it up this week. But once I return home, there’s a whole lot of stuff going on. Next Wednesday, 10/20, I will be playing Wind Down Wednesday with my buddy Daryl Dunn at East Lake Park. This is just a chance for the neighborhood to hang out in a safe space and listen to some tunes. It will be all acoustic, kids and dogs welcome. Music is from 6-8.

Friday, 10/22, I will be at The Payback with Psyche Origami, Wasted Potential Brass Band, and Ultra Beast at 529 in EAV. Wasted will be performing at midnight.

Saturday, 10/23, I will be back at Limerick Junction with Anthony Mancini on guitar. Lots of fun tunes and fascinating people watching, as well as good late night grub. Music is from 9:30 to 1:30. Anthony and I will also be back at Limerick 11/5 & 11/6. Limerick Junction Website
Thursday, 10/28, I will be joining Hayley Gray and the Medicine at Two Urban Licks. It has been awhile since I’ve played at this spot and I am looking forward to seeing what is new on the menu. Come hungry! Music from 6-10, Two Urban Licks
Friday, 10/29, Wasted Potential will be back at The Marlay House in Decatur. This place is always a party. Friendly staff and customers, children welcome. Music is from 7-9. Wasted Potential Brass Band Website Marlay House Website
Saturday, 10/30 I will be playing some spooky tunes for a private wedding. This is your monthly reminder that you can also schedule me for your own private party! Please send me an email at strachotamandi@gmail.com for bookings.
Monday evening, 11/1, Wasted Potential will be leading the Day of the Dead parade in L5P. This is one of my favorite events. Lots of wonderful energy with the Krewe to honor those who are still with us yet no longer with us, and I know there are a few special people to commune with this year in particular. We will be visiting a few of the establishments in Little Five Points as we make our way through the streets.
After a full weekend at Limerick, the November installment of the gospel show at Waller’s will be Sunday afternoon, 11/7 from 1:30-3:30 pm. We’ve been doing this thing for a few months now and made some new fans, but I’m still waiting to see some of our older regulars. Do you have any burdens you need to lay down? Or do you just want to share some love? Now is the time! Come help us spread joy and get your sangin’ and dancing on! Waller’s Website
Saturday, 11/13 is the date I’ve been asking y’all to reserve on your calendar for awhile. I’m bringing the band to your backyard. Well, someone’s backyard, and it’s in some of your neighborhoods! Thanks to my friend Tammy Meadows, I’ll be playing the Backyard Bandstand in Marietta. Tickets are $20 and 100% of the sales go to the band. Bring your own beverages and snacks, so you don’t have to pay for anything but the music. There is limited seating available, so it is recommended to bring your own lawn chair and to reserve your spot EARLY! Tickets are already on sale – the link can be found in the facebook event HERE. Music starts at 8 pm, but get there early to get a good seat. I am really hoping to see some friendly faces in the house.
Saturday, 11/19, I’ll be playing Doc’s 40th Anniversary Party! The party lasts all weekend with live music and giveaways throughout. My set will be on Saturday from 4-7. As many of y’all know, Doc’s is my home away from home and has supported me throughout my career. I’ve made several lifelong friends at this establishment, and am honored to be part of the celebration of this long standing institution. I have never had a dull moment there. Great bar food and awesome staff. I am really looking forward to this event. Doc’s Website
Looking forward: I will be back at Limerick Junction again on 11/26 & 12/3. Waller’s will again host the gospel show 12/5, as we do on the first Sunday of every month. I will also be back at Ott Farms and Vineyard on 12/11. I am looking to schedule more tour dates in the midwest this winter, heading out east in the spring, and circling the Southeast – hopefully with the brass band – next summer. So if you have any venue suggestions or any open couches, please let me know! I want to play in your city and drink your beer! I already have Savannah on the schedule, returning to Foxy Loxy on 1/21. I am committed to 2022 being the return of touring for me. Let’s do this!!!
Looking forward to seeing all of you soon! It has been too long and I miss you. And you miss me. I can feel it. Love you all, and please remember to #SUPPORTLOCALMUSIC.
