Man, there is so much going on lately it’s hard for even me to keep up! Here’s what’s happening in the coming weeks.
Tonight, Friday, 5-19, I’ll be playing at Grand Champion BBQ on Canton St in Roswell. I’ll be playing acoustic music from 6:30-9:30. If you’re looking for some fantastic BBQ right in the heart of Roswell, this is a fantastic place to spend the evening. Seriously, the brisket is SO GOOD.
Tomorrow, Saturday, 5-20, I’ll be playing the Milltown Tavern Cancer Benefit with Wasted Potential from 3-5.
Then we will be headed to Fire In the Fourth to play from 7:30-8:30. Voted the Best “New Festival” by Atlanta Magazine in 2015, Fire in the Fourth (FIT4) Festival returns on Saturday May 20, 2017 to pay homage to the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917 that devastated the Old Fourth Ward 100 years ago on May 21, 1917. Celebrating the resurgence of the O4W community through a one-day FREE street experience featuring history, performances, kids fun, live bands, food, craft beer and FIRE.
Sunday, May 21st, I will be playing solo acoustic at Cartecay Vineyards in Ellijay. This will also be the site of the Red, Wine, and Blues festival on Saturday, May 27, featuring Travis Bowlin, Rae & the Royal Peacocks, and Roger Hurricane Wilson. I will be playing acoustic sets in between the bands on the 27th, with sets from 2-3 pm as well as 5:30-6. On the 21st, I will be playing from 1-5 pm.

Every Wednesday is Wild Women Wednesday at Darwin’s in Sandy Springs. Bytchcraft, an all female group consisting of Skye Paige, Hayley Gray, and me play through your lunch hour every Wednesday from 1-4. This is bound to turn into something amazing…
May 26 & 27 is a Mudcat weekend at Northside Tavern! This will be our first time at Northside since the passing of our loving friend and mentor, Ellyn Webb. We look forward to celebrating her life and continuing her legacy.
Sunday, May 28, Wasted Potential will be celebrating the Yacht Club’s anniversary from 4-5 in Little Five Points. Then, don’t go anywhere, I’ll be playing solo acoustic from 5-8 right there in the heart of Little Five Points for Little 5 Arts Alive.
June 1st I will be performing at a friend’s wedding. Then on June 4 Mudcat and the Atlanta Horns will be backing Otis Redding III for a gospel brunch sponsored by Revival at Eddie’s Attic. It is an honor to participate in these gospel events. If you haven’t been to one yet, get your tickets now! These things usually sell out. Doors open at noon.
The most exciting news for June is that the premiere of the movie To Live Or Die In La Honda will be happening on June 11th in L.A. I am so excited to hear my song, Whiskey In the Parking Lot, playing in a movie on the big screen. Look for the single to be released for digital download at the beginning of June.
Friday, June 9, Wasted Potential will be returning to Northside Tavern. Music starts around 10 pm. Then on Saturday, June 10, look for us at Tunes For Tombs. Check for the Northside info listed above. Tunes for Tombs will be held at Oakland Cemetery, time TBA. We will also be playing the Norcross Blueberry Festival on June 17. More info to follow.
Thursday, June 22, I will be traveling to New Orleans to play Tipitinas with Mudcat and the Company Store. Doors open at 8, show starts at 9.
Friday, June 23, I’ll be back in town to play Suburban Tap in Marietta. Stay tuned for a possible special guest for this gig. Music from 10-1.
Then I will be closing out the weekend playing Northside with Mudcat on 6/24, and another gospel afternoon on 6/25 at Darwin’s with some special guests TBA. Gospel at Darwin’s is from 3:30-6:30.
On top of all of these events, I received my test presses for the new album Unleashed this week. That means we are looking for an early August release for the new album. So much happening! I’ll see you around town.
